Fellow Pitt students: Welcome to The Pitt News Presidential Inauguration Blog. Before we dive into the official coverage, we’d like to take a moment and thank you for stopping by. We are Katelyn Polantz, Justin Jacobs and Michael Heater, three of your Pitt News editors, and we’ll be updating you for the next four days as we trek from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C. to experience what promises to be one of the biggest national events in the country’s history: The Steelers game.

Just kidding, of course — we’ll be weaving through the crowds in downtown D.C. to bring you all the excitement and happenings of the inauguration of President Elect Barack Obama.
